Curious bubbles pop at the surface. I look into the depths and see a mass of more coming up. Like a column of champagne pearls the bubbles waltz around one another as they fly to the top. I dive in. Head for the source. Deep. Deeper. I’m out of breath, but I can’t give up. So close! Swim! Suddenly a gleam shimmers my way. But bubbles blind me in a cloud. Until— she’s unveiled, a mermaid!
I wake up on the MONACO beach. Mesmerized.
